MELISSA MENDES moved to Providence, Rhode Island, after getting her MFA at the Center for Cartoon Studies in White River Junction, Vermont. In November 2010 she received a grant from the Xeric Foundation to self-publish her graphic novel, Freddy, which will be coming out this fall. You can see more of her work at www.mmmendes.com.
