Ruby Dudasik is a first-year PhD student in ITS. She is interested in how existing stories are retold on stage, and how changes in the narrative affect relationships between the audience and actors. Her research currently focuses on adaptations of mythology and folklore, as well as ritual in theatrical spaces.
Ruby’s background is in classics, history, and gender/women’s studies, and has focused specifically on ancient Greek tragedies and their receptions. She holds degrees in Archaeology and Arts, Text, and Media from New York University, and a MA in Arts Administration from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
