Our current faculty has many strengths, with particular research and teaching expertise in the following areas: reception of antiquity; early modern women’s writing, colonial studies, and court culture; Anglo-French and Anglo-Spanish cultural exchange; gender, critical race, and disability studies; material culture, especially manuscript and rare books; editing; transatlantic studies; word-image studies; genre studies; environmental history; history of media (especially paper making); and law and literature.
