It’s grad school application season! Our department offers a PhD in English with tracks in Composition & Rhetoric, Literary Studies, and English Language and Linguistics. We are also home to a highly ranked MFA program in Creative Writing and a postgraduate fellowship program in Creative Writing. That’s a pretty broad range! When you’re a graduate student in English, you’ll meet people who get excited about exactly the nerdy things that you like yourself, but you will also work with people who will look at you in disbelief when you tell them what you want to work on. BOTH specialization and connecting across the disciplinary aisle are essential to the grad student experience.
