Jared Lee is a PhD Student in Interdisciplinary Theatre Studies at UW-Madison. He brings a background in directing, producing, marketing, and artistic leadership. His research interests include historical periods of existential crisis within theatre, financially sustainable models of producing and creating theatre, theatre without walls, and theatre as an event.
He holds an MFA in Theatre Management from Wayne State University (Detroit, MI ‘20) and an MFA in Directing from University of Portland (Portland, OR, ‘14) (MFA Directing Thesis: Artaudian Application in Adaptation of Georg Büchner’s Woyzeck) and a B.S.Ed in Speech and Theatre Education from Missouri State University (Springfield, MO ’08)
