Ali Mansouri is a PhD candidate in Interdisciplinary Theatre Studies at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He holds an MFA in Theatre Directing from the Art University of Tehran, where he also worked as a playwright, director, and translator. His research focuses on the intersections of performance, politics, and migration, with particular emphasis on applied theatre, performance philosophy, and the contemporary Iranian theatre. Ali has facilitated theatre workshops with refugee and migrant communities in both Iran and the United States, developing innovative approaches to facilitation.
