Rebecca Schmitt joined the ITS program as a Masters student two years ago and is now continuing on to pursue her PhD. She has fallen in love with Madison and looks forward to the coming years of learning and research. Rebecca plans to explore the burgeoning world of Asexuality Studies and is fascinated by the possibilities of performance and sexuality. With a background in theatre production and Secondary English Education, Rebecca is constantly engaged with her work as an educator and looks forward to the opportunity to share her love of theatre with the world. She has been an active theatre artist, director, and designer for the past 16 years, with her most recent production being Shakespeare in the Garden at the Allen Centennial Garden on campus.
