Book contract

Happy news: I just signed a contract with Routledge for my next book, Bad Grammar in the Digital Age. I will look at how the public discourse about language is shaped by descriptive and prescriptive attitudes about language and will discuss how our understanding of what constitutes knowledge of language is challenged by AI-based practices, which weaken the link between human communicative intent and linguistic form. (Picture is of an AI-generated logo that does not fit my communicative intent and will therefore not be on the book cover.)
