That MadLit Conference is an annual event put on by the UW English Department GSA. The conference was started to give graduate students in the department an opportunity to present their work to a welcoming audience and to develop networks with other graduate students from across the country and even around the globe.
Each year, the conference is broadly themed to address issues like pleasure, violence, revision, and boundaries, and we have accepted and heard wonderful papers from graduate students studying literature, composition and rhetoric, history, linguistics, and folklore.
The 2018 conference will be held from February 23 to February 24.
